Dew Drops on Roses.....

Dew drops and roses, what could be more perfect.....after the storm, I went out with my camera. I had another big branch fall down on top of my flowers.....but flowers can be replaced, and I was really grateful that it didn't fall on my house.....

The dew drops on the roses were new, but those roses are old....they were the freebees from when I worked at Franks Nursery and Crafts.....we were sent like 6 extra roses on our order, they weren't on the order form, and the guy left, so manager said we could take them home.... finally something free.....I do not feed them special food, or really take good care of them, but every year, for at least 15 years they would provide me with beautiful blooms, that smelled wonderful.....I trim them every year, but they were really getting woody.....well this year, the pink one is finally dead....I don't see any life in it......but the coral one with some dead wood, produced these two beautiful roses......I want to burst into song....."dew drops on roses and soft little kittens".....oh I know those aren't the words, but they are my words......

I hope where ever you live, your not involved in this flooding, and bad storms....I can't imagine what it would be like to go through that.....every time we have a tornado warning, I grab my photo cd's, my two cameras and my purse and head on down the basement......I feel so sad for those people that lost all their pictures.....of course if they come out with their life, what is a picture....you always have your memories.....

Judy, Your roses are beautiful. I love the pictures with the dew on them. I don't have a basement but I grab everything and run to the bathroom when the weather gets bad. It is the inner most room in my home. I am scared to death of storms ever since I went through a flash flood one time. You are right in that material things are nothing when it comes to your life.

We haven't had any flooding or bad storms here. Praise the Lord! I do feel sorry for all who are having such awful problems.

Your rose is just beautiful. I used to have one like this and it was the nicest smelling of all my roses.

I was looking at some of your earlier posts and on June 6th the first photo with the odd and large 'weed' I don't know what it is, but am wondering if you know what the name of the varigated ground cover plant that is growing under it is. I have a huge patch of it that my daughter nick-named a Snake condo.

I know what you mean about pictures. i treasure them too. I even has a couple of tin types that go back to the mid 1800's. I'm glad you are safe.

Gosh I just re-read my above comment and it sounds like I can't even complete a sentence. Oops.

Your roses are beautiful. Sure would call that a photo op to catch them with the dew still clinging to the pedals.

I love my rose bushes. I have been able to get out a little bit today and do some dead heading on the roses and other flowers.

I tried leaving a comment last night and darn Blogger kept eating it. Now I'm back to try again! lol

Your roses are just gorgeous, I so love that colour. Don't they always look more beautiful with dew drops on them?! The rose bushes I planted in my faerie garden are just loaded with buds so it should look nice once they've all opened up:-)

I saw on the news how parts of the States are flooding...it must be so devastating. We're not flooding here but my goodness we sure have been getting a lot of rain....I'm starting to forget what the sun looks like!!!

Have a wonderful weekend dear Judy. xoxo

All the flooding is a horrible thing and I pray for all those affected.
