From VCR to DVD...

I am transfering my daughters VCR's to DVD's and while watching, I'm wondering why no one ever popped me in the mouth...boy my mouth never shut up...."smile for grandma" "wave to grandma" etc...and it last forever....I'm not complaining, because I have a copy of their voice and it's so cute listening to them as little kids talking it's my voice that is so annoying.......and of course hearing my hubby's voice and my mom and dad....what a treasure I have...but I took some of when the kids were little bitty baby's, laying on a blanket on the floor....for hours....they would coo, grunt, wow what a smart kid...lol....

I wonder did I really have fun, because my head was always behind the camera....it still is but i snap the pictures now...ooopps I forgot I just bought a new cam recorder...oh well it keeps me out of trouble...and it sure is nice to look back to see the old days....I even have a movie of when I was 5 years old...the neighbor who mom and dad hung around with had one....they were rich....it's just a little blurry, but not bad enough to know whose who...my dad use to ride me at Pearson Park on the handle bars...we would have a whole line of bikes going through the park... and a movie of me in my aunt and uncles wedding...now that is a treasure, being able to see yourself moving around, and seeing that your mom and dad really did have a fun good life...and I have to tell you....I was really cute....LOL.....sorry, it just slipped out....well going to go check on how far the tape is .....

Unfortunately we never had a cam recorder when ours were young, and the only moving memory I have of my late husband is on the engagement of my son whose fiancee's dad took a film.

Thanks for the meory Judy,

Yvonne.

Ah, old home movies are priceless! Good plan to convert the tapes to DVD. I bought a program over a year ago to convert mine, but I haven't used it yet!!
