My mom Ellie on the left, grandma Lena middle and Aunt Elvera on right...me and my cousin Jeffrey in front..... I was cleaning under my sink, wondering why I was saving all these products for cleaning the outside of refrigerator, the counter top, WD40....why were they all stuffed under my sink cabinet? Obviously I never use them...since I didn't even knew they were under there... Years ago, when I was just a tot and as I turned into a young teen, Mondays were always wash days (laundry), Tuesday mom ironed, Wed and Thurs I wonder what my mom did....because Fri was cleaning day....but cleaning my bedroom was every Sat. morning...it had to be done by 12 noon...I dusted off my story book doll shelves with about 25 dolls, and I also collected salt and pepper shakers....why? I guess because my grandma always brought me home collector ones when she went on a trip....and I dusted about 100 sets every sat. morning, while listening to buster brown, and all those adorable little morning shows...come to find out my friend Carolyn's mom played the voice of Buster Brown...Shopping had to be on Sat. because my mom didn't drive...she must have snuck in either Wed. or Thurs as a sewing day, because she made all my clothes and our drapes etc...do you have special days to do laundry, and no one irons any more, unless it's something special...she ironed rags for crying out loud...which she hemmed...she didn't work until I was a teen, but I never remember her sitting around....like me....LOL Organization....that is on my bucket list....before I die, I hope to acquire organization....I have been working on it for years and years....I was organized when my husband was alive...but that was because he was...I wash clothes when needed, I dust when I sneeze....but I do wash dishes every day.... It only took cleaning under my sink to bring back a memory of my organized mom....and write a blog about it....
MEMORIES....everyday we make new memories, but there is nothing like the old ones...

It was like that here Judy, each day represented a different chore,
Gosh that was some time a go'
Loved the read.
Yvonne.
When I was little Yvonne, I had under panties that said mon. washing, tues. ironing, but I can't for the life of me remember the other days of the week, what they said...funny why they would put that on a little girls panties...thanks for stopping by...
lovely photo & story.
I keep my bad cleaning stuff under the kitchen sink just like my mother does
funny you should mention Iron, my Beloved said I need to iron his collars so they don't look like cook bacon!
LOL....I never heard that wording for ironing a collar Paige...that is funny, but honestly it is pretty true....and I did iron a top this morning...a wrinkle is a wrinkly no matter where it is located..., but I refuse to iron my skin....LOL
Hi Judy this song goes back 43 yrs, I was expecting my second child. I forgot about it, wrote the poem the other week in advance for the A to Z challenge and tried to think of a suitable song, I was looking through the sounds of the sixties and there it was"IF I ONLY HAD TIME " sung by moari John Rawles.
Have a wonderful Easter.
Yvonne.
My mom did laundry on Thursday and cleaned house on Friday. She would put a roast in the oven on Thursday and let it cook all day.
With the potato and gravy etc for supper
Friday night was usually weiners and sauerkraut.
Thanks Judy for the comment,
I saw it on video at home and it since been on TV.
Yvonne.
