About 30 years ago this picture was taken...it has my husband (shirtless) putting Dustin (neighbor boy), into a pile of leaves that he helped rake...watching on the side is Wendy (neighbor girl) and my son Joey...years ago, jims favorite saying was "real men don't need, shirts,), or shoes, or whatever...it was his favorite saying...so on his gravestone I put "Real men don't die, they live on in our memory"... that is engraved along with ivy leaves...he loved his ivy...if I had him here right now I would wind that ivy around his neck....LOL....it's fall and we always use to get together with the neighbors...in fact that is where the picture was taken...I have tons of leaves waiting to be raked up...but still lots of leaves on the tree...it is either an excuse I use (still on trees), or I'm pretty darn lazy....if I had to confess it would be the lazy one....

Judy...you sure had the gift of a good man! Your memories will see you through so many things, and seasons. You have a wealth of happy memories of your days...much more than many. You're very blessed, so phooey on those ol' leaves!
I raked the leaves in the backyard a couple of weeks ago and now it looks like I never did it! lol I'm not doing it again so the wind better just blow it away...in the neighbours' yards since that's where the leaves come from in the first place!!! hehe
Such a wonderful picture of Jim having fun with the kids. I remember loving to jump in huge piles of leaves after my dad would rake them:-)
Love what you wrote on Jim's gravestone, so very touching. I can tell how much you miss him, sending you big hugs. xoxo
